Rolex GMT-Master II "Root Beer"

The Rolex GMT-Master II 126711CHNR is built for travel, dressed for impact. This two-tone model is known as the “Root Beer” thanks to its warm, black and brown bezel. 

The 40mm case is made from Oystersteel and 18ct Everose gold. It’s brushed and polished in all the right places. The screw-down crown and solid caseback help seal the case to 100 metres. The lugs are sharp, and the fit is firm on the wrist.

The bezel is made from scratch-proof Cerachrom ceramic in a black and brown split. The rose gold numerals are engraved, legible, and long-lasting. The bezel rotates both ways to track a third time zone. It moves in clean, 24-click turns.

The dial is glossy black with large white hour markers in Chromalight. The hands are rose gold with a matching GMT hand. The extra hand shows home time in 24-hour format. The date sits at 3 o’clock and jumps instantly at midnight. The Cyclops lens on the sapphire makes it easy to read.

Inside is the Rolex Calibre 3285. It’s automatic, COSC-certified, and tested to -2/+2 seconds per day. The movement runs with a Chronergy escapement and Parachrom hairspring. It offers 70 hours of power reserve and excellent protection against magnetism and shock.

The bracelet is the classic Oyster style in Everose Rolesor—steel outer links with polished gold centre links. It closes with a folding Oysterlock clasp and has the Easylink extension system built in. It’s strong, smooth, and feels tight on the wrist.
