MB&F - M.A.D.1S - 2026

MB&F's M.A.D. Editions line was conceived to make Maximilian Busser's boundary-pushing horological art accessible to a wider audience. The M.A.D.1S represents a refined evolution of the original M.A.D.1, featuring a slimmer case profile and a single-cylinder time display powered by a Swiss-made movement.

The 42mm case is constructed from 316L stainless steel with anodised aluminium accent rings, standing 15mm tall — a significant reduction from its predecessor. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides sits atop the case, revealing the inverted movement configuration with a free-spinning rotor and exposed balance wheel.

Rather than a conventional dial, hours and minutes are displayed on a single vertical cylinder mounted on the case side, read against a fixed pointer. Arabic numeral hour markers and fifteen-minute increment markers in white provide legibility on the ice blue cylinder. The result is a timepiece that demands interaction — rotating the wrist to read the time becomes part of the experience.

The La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement features 24 jewels, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and stores 68 hours of power reserve. Its inverted configuration places the tungsten and titanium rotor on the display side, treated with Super-LumiNova for a luminous glow in darkness.

An ice blue calfskin leather strap with embossed pattern and colour-matched stitching is secured by a stainless steel double-fold deployant buckle. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres.

Unworn condition means never worn — expect factory-fresh condition with protective elements potentially intact, no wear whatsoever. Manufacturer's warranty active.
