Ulysse Nardin - Freak X - 2024

The Ulysse Nardin Freak, first introduced in 2001, revolutionised watchmaking by eliminating the conventional dial, hands, and crown entirely. The Freak X, launched in 2019, brought this radical architecture into a more accessible format whilst retaining the visual drama that made the original a landmark in haute horlogerie.

The 43mm titanium case provides a lightweight yet robust housing for the exposed movement architecture. A sapphire crystal on both front and caseback offers unobstructed views of the mechanism, and the case is rated to 50 metres water resistance.

In place of a traditional dial, the entire movement bridge rotates to indicate the hours, whilst the central gear train displays the minutes — a flying carousel system unique to the Freak lineage. Silicon components throughout the escapement and balance spring enhance precision and longevity.

The manufacture calibre UN-230 is an automatic movement featuring Ulysse Nardin's signature silicium technology, with a silicon escapement wheel, anchor, and balance spring delivering exceptional antimagnetic properties and long-term stability.

The textile strap provides a contemporary, lightweight wearing experience, secured by a titanium deployant clasp.

Excellent condition from 2024 means minimal wear — expect light surface marks on the case, maintained in nearly new condition. Comes complete with original box and original papers. Manufacturer's warranty active until May 2026.
