Tudor - Pelagos FXD - 2023

The Pelagos FXD was launched in 2021 as a reissue of the reference supplied to the Commando Hubert of the French Marine Nationale from the 1970s onward. It retains the defining feature of that military specification — fixed strap bars integrated directly into the case — ensuring the strap cannot detach during operational use.

The 42mm Grade 2 titanium case is lightweight, hypoallergenic and corrosion-resistant, with a satin-brushed finish throughout. A bidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert is calibrated for navigational swim plotting rather than standard dive timing. A sapphire crystal protects the matte blue dial, and the case is rated to 200 metres.

The matte blue dial is fitted with Tudor's signature snowflake hands and luminous hour markers for high legibility in low light. There is no date aperture, preserving the symmetry of the military specification.

Calibre MT5602 is Tudor's in-house manufacture movement, carrying COSC chronometer certification and offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and features a silicon balance spring for enhanced shock and magnetic resistance.

Presented on a jacquard textile strap in dark navy with a grey stripe, fitted with a titanium pin buckle. A spare navy textile strap is also included.

Very good condition from 2023 means approximately three years of wear — expect light marks on the brushed titanium case and bezel, minor wear on the textile strap, no significant damage. Complete as a full set with box and papers dated June 2023. The five-year Tudor manufacturer's warranty remains active until June 2028.
