Jack Heuer designed the Monaco 1969 as deliberate provocation—square case defying round watch orthodoxy. The watch launched alongside world's first automatic chronographs, gaining cultural immortality through Steve McQueen wearing reference 1133B in 1971's "Le Mans". The blue dial on blue leather strap configuration provides tonal harmony whilst maintaining Monaco's distinctive square silhouette.
