The Yacht-Master is Rolex's nautical sports watch, introduced in 1992 as the brand's first true crossover between Submariner robustness and the polished, dress-leaning finishing of the Datejust. Reference 126622 is the 40mm steel-and-platinum execution — the configuration Rolex markets as Rolesium, in which the bezel is rendered in solid 950 platinum against an Oystersteel case and bracelet.

The 40mm Oystersteel case is fitted with a bidirectional rotating bezel in solid platinum with raised, polished sixty-minute graduations against a sandblasted matte surface — a deliberate inversion of the typical dive watch bezel hierarchy. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens protects the dial, and the screw-down Twinlock crown delivers water resistance to 100 metres.

The rhodium grey sunburst dial carries applied luminous hour markers, Mercedes hands and a date aperture at three o'clock. The dial's neutral tone is intended to complement the platinum bezel, producing a quietly monochromatic palette that distinguishes the watch from the brand's more overtly sporty references.

Calibre 3235 is Rolex's current-generation Superlative Chronometer movement, featuring the Chronergy escapement and Parachrom hairspring. Running at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 31 jewels, it delivers approximately seventy hours of power reserve and is certified accurate to within minus two to plus two seconds per day.
