The Datejust 36 has anchored Rolex's catalogue since 1945, remaining the brand's most versatile proposition and the benchmark against which all dress-sport watches are measured. Reference 126234 is the current-generation steel-and-white-gold configuration, introduced in 2018 with the Calibre 3235 movement and offered here with a vivid green sunburst dial.

The 36mm case is crafted from Oystersteel and topped with a signature fluted bezel in 18ct white gold — Rolex's traditional dress detail, cut and polished to refract light at its edges. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens magnifies the date, whilst the screw-down Twinlock crown and Oyster case secure water resistance to 100 metres.

The green sunburst dial radiates finely brushed rays from its centre, shifting in tone from deep forest to brighter jade depending on the light. Applied luminous index markers and broad sword hands are filled with Chromalight for long-lasting blue-glow legibility, and a date aperture sits at three o'clock beneath the Cyclops.

Calibre 3235 is Rolex's latest-generation Superlative Chronometer movement, featuring a Chronergy escapement in nickel-phosphorous and a Parachrom hairspring for enhanced shock and magnetic resistance. Running at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 31 jewels, it delivers approximately seventy hours of power reserve and is certified accurate to within minus two to plus two seconds per day.

The five-link Jubilee bracelet — introduced alongside the original Datejust — is crafted from Oystersteel and fitted with the Oysterclasp, incorporating the Easylink rapid adjustment system for a five-millimetre sizing on the fly.
