Omega became Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games in 1932 at Los Angeles—ninety-two years of partnership making it the longest continuous sponsorship in Olympic history. The brand marks each Games with commemorative timepieces: limited editions, special dials, Games-specific complications. The Paris 2024 collection launched in early 2024 ahead of the summer Olympics, comprising multiple references across Omega's product families. The Bronze Gold Edition stands apart—vintage-inspired design referencing a 1939 wristwatch, commemorating the three Olympic medals through material choice combining gold, silver, and bronze.

The design pulls directly from reference CK 859 produced in 1939—thirty-nine millimetre case, small seconds at six o'clock, sector dial aesthetic predating modern sports watch conventions. Omega revived this reference previously for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics using different materials. The Paris 2024 version introduces Bronze Gold—Omega's proprietary alloy developed specifically for this release.

Thirty-nine millimetres in Bronze Gold with brushed finish. Bronze Gold comprises 37.5% gold (hallmarked 9K), enriched with palladium and silver creating unique colour sitting between Omega's 18K Moonshine gold and 18K Sedna gold. The alloy produces soft pink-bronze hue whilst solving bronze's traditional problem: verdigris oxidation creating green patina and skin irritation. Standard bronze watches use copper-tin alloys that oxidise rapidly, staining skin green, requiring regular polishing. Bronze Gold's precious metal content prevents verdigris formation whilst allowing natural patina development over years rather than months. The case is brushed with polished bezel. Vintage Omega logo embossed on crown. Domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Solid caseback engraved "BG 859" (Bronze Gold, case shape 859) with stamped frosted medallion featuring mirror-polished Paris 2024 logo and Olympic rings. Thirty metres water resistance—dress watch rating, adequate for rain and handwashing, inadequate for swimming.

The dial is solid Ag 925 silver—not silver-plated, actual sterling silver cut thin and finished. "Clous de Paris" hobnail guilloché pattern at centre creating three-dimensional texture. Circular brushed finish on outer minute track and small seconds subdial at six o'clock. Printed Arabic numerals at twelve, three, and nine o'clock. Printed index markers elsewhere. Dark grey vintage Omega logo. The hands are 18K Sedna gold with Bronze Gold PVD coating matching case colour. Small seconds hand at six o'clock subdial. No date—pure time-only complication preserving 1939 aesthetic.

Inside sits Calibre 8926—Omega's Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement developed for this release. Manual-winding, thirty jewels, 25,200 vibrations per hour (3.5Hz—slower than modern standard 28,800vph, matching vintage movement frequencies). Seventy-two-hour power reserve—three full days between windings. The 8926 receives luxury finishing including Geneva waves in arabesque pattern, rhodium-plated surfaces, polished bevels. Master Chronometer certification by METAS—tested after complete assembly for accuracy within 0 to +5 seconds daily across six positions, two temperatures, at full and 33% power reserve, after exposure to magnetic fields exceeding 15,000 gauss. The certification exceeds COSC chronometer standards, representing Omega's current precision benchmark across its mechanical collection.

Brown calfskin leather strap with tone-on-tone stitching. Sandblasted Bronze Gold pin buckle with polished vintage Omega logo in positive relief. The strap is supple, vintage-style, avoiding modern sport watch rubber or NATO textile. Twenty millimetre lug width. The leather will darken and develop patina with wear, oils from skin creating natural aging.

Excellent condition from 2024 means minimal wear—perhaps light surface marks on brushed Bronze Gold case, slight creasing on leather strap near pin holes, no deep scratches, no structural damage. The solid silver dial should show no tarnishing, no moisture spots. Bronze Gold patina development depends on wear patterns and skin chemistry; some buyers prefer accelerated patina, others prefer preserving original finish through regular cleaning. Full set includes special Paris 2024 presentation box (Omega created commemorative packaging for Olympic releases), outer packaging, warranty card dated 2024, instruction booklets, Master Chronometer certificate. Five-year international warranty active.

The watch wasn't produced in declared limited numbers—Omega manufactured to demand during the Olympic year, making exact production figures unclear. The Bronze Gold material, vintage-inspired design, and Olympic commemorative significance create collectability beyond standard Specialities releases. The reference pays homage to Omega's 1939 CK 859 whilst incorporating modern Master Chronometer movement technology and proprietary Bronze Gold alloy.

Paris 2024 Olympic Games commemorative. Solid silver dial, Bronze Gold case, manual-winding Master Chronometer movement. Excellent condition, full set, five-year warranty active.
