In 1969 it introduced the El Primero, a high-frequency automatic chronograph accurate to a tenth of a second — a calibre so good it powered watches for other famous brands and remains in production today.

The Chronomaster carries the El Primero legacy forward; the Defy explores modern materials and even higher frequencies; and the Pilot draws on Zenith's early aviation instruments.
