Omega Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary

This Omega Speedmaster Professional “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary, reference 310.32.42.50.02.001, was purchased in 2024 and is presented in excellent condition with its complete full set of box and papers.

The 42 mm stainless steel case carries the classic Speedmaster Professional design with asymmetrical lyre lugs and a polished black ceramic bezel. Its white enamel tachymeter scale remains faithful to the Moonwatch tradition while adding enhanced durability.

The dial is crisp silver with blue subdials and hands, creating a striking contrast. At 9 o’clock, Snoopy himself appears in a spacesuit, commemorating NASA’s Silver Snoopy Award, given to Omega in 1970 for its role in the Apollo 13 mission. Super-LumiNova highlights the indices and hands, ensuring excellent legibility.

A standout feature is the sapphire caseback. When the chronograph is activated, Snoopy appears in a command module that “flies” across the starry sky background, orbiting the far side of the moon. This animation, unique to this reference, is powered by the chronograph mechanism.

Inside beats the Omega calibre 3861 manual-wind movement, a Co-Axial Master Chronometer certified by METAS. It offers a 50-hour power reserve, antimagnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss, and traditional Moonwatch architecture updated with cutting-edge precision.

The watch is fitted with a blue fabric strap featuring white stitching and an embossed Apollo 13 mission trajectory on the lining. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres.
